Rubbish is taking over our world! All of the above are huge polluters - but why? We don't need these things, but we still use them. One plastic bag can kill 5 turtles, while 10 plastic-covered coffee cups can pollute a small water way! We need to stop this.

Here are some ways to help:

• use your own coffee cup - Keep Cup, for instance

• make your own shopping bag and use that instead of plastic bags

• if you live in Australia, drop of soft plastics at COLES REDcycle

• Don't smoke! It's bad for you and the environment! If you do, either quit or put your cigarette butt in the bin

• throw your wrappers in the bin - DO NOT recycle them
